 The historic city center of Amsterdam with it's canals has been put on the UNESCO world heritage list. Good decision?
YES. The center of Amsterdam is outstanding and has great cultural and historical value, this will add protection
NO. This was only motivated by Amsterdam wanting to attract more tourists. There are enough already and they will come anyway
YES. Amsterdam needs more tourists, with the UNESCO status it can obtain extra money for renovation
NO. The recognition is nice but it will hamper construction and building plans
