You'd use a 100% safe Teleportation service that costs 10% of the greater of each user's annual income or assets per ride. Ask a Question

I had to think about this one, but 10% is way too high. Even the top first class ticket wouldn't be that much and assuming that airfare is still available, it doesn't seem like it would be worth it for instantaneous travel.

the truly destitute can practically go for free.

maybe the wealthy will figure out a way to "not has assets or salary"

If you could simply tell how much that it is, then my decision would be much easier.

Why is it so expensive?

well, come on! nobody's invented that one as of yet, so it has to be. but technically, once again, if you have $100 to your name, you can go anywhere for $10, which isn't bad. of course i wouldn't mind transporting the sultan of brunai. I think a pricing scheme like that would be interesting to experiment with. that is... calculate prices based on % of PDP, since right now everything is so skewed towards the top .1 of 1%...

Nah, I can't get into that business model. Flat rates, man, that's the way. Market penetration and volume will take care of the rest.

but what if each time i teleported anybody, it would take 1% of the sun's energy away, permanently?

Is that 10% annually for as many trips as I wish, or a one-time deal?

10% per trip. but that's not bad because that means you can take an infinite number of trips before you run out of money, although i guess if you were worth a dollar you could have well 43 trips before you had less than a penny. I'd have to round to the nearest penny, i think. so if you were worth a penny, i guess i wouldn't charge you.

now if you take somebody like donald trump, his liabilities exceed his assets by billions of dollars. he does, however take a hefty personal salary each year, so he'd be paying a reasonable amount for his teleportation service.
