Then you are using the word incorrectly. Since yoga is a practice and not a being, yoga cannot "be" gay in the sense of "happy." It can only be "gay" in the pejorative sense.

Oh my... now you've devolved from name calling to parrot mode. That's quite frightening. What next? The old, "I am rubber, you are glue" line? Or maybe the "I know you are, but what am I?" line?

So you don't consider telling dauguy that she said something because she's a jealous fat slob to be ad hominem? If you don't, then no, I don't think you do know what it means.
You consider THAT comment to have been "grown up?" *sheesh*

Gay is not a pejorative. When used as one, it is bigotry.
by gay, i mean happy :)
dont be so quick to Judge.
Are you gay?
Right. Because the common slang term means happy. Oh, wait...no, it doesn't.
Look at the results of your other poll. And you didn't mean happy, you just got busted.
1. having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music.
2. bright or showy: gay colors; gay ornaments.
3. given to or abounding in social or other pleasures: a gay social season.
4. licentious; dissipated; wanton: The baron is a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies.
Any of these sound a lot like yoga? That's right, they don't.
5. homosexual.
6. of, indicating, or supporting homosexual interests or issues: a gay organization.
–noun
7. a homosexual person, esp. a male.
As I said--and when used to describe something as undesirable, it is a pejorative.
Then you are using the word incorrectly. Since yoga is a practice and not a being, yoga cannot "be" gay in the sense of "happy." It can only be "gay" in the pejorative sense.
There is a definition for the adverbial use of 'gay' which might, with a lot stretching (pun not intended!) fit here.
But probably not.
What? What has homo- / sexuality to do with yoga? I am thankful though you did not use an exclamation mark. Yes, I love doing yoga. No, I am NOT gay.

[-1 points] 3 years ago by deleted user ReplyThe fact that it was not directed at me does not make it any less ad hominem (or any more grown up).
