I remember reading many years ago that in Russia surgery was sometimes used to solve serious alcoholism problems ie they surgically removed that part of the brain that caused the compulsive behaviour. I dont know if there is a surgical solution but if there was i suspect western society would be very queasy about it. It is like someone I know use to say "I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy!"

I couldn't support court mandated surgical solutions, because I think we would then have a shortage in the Legal Profession.

LOL

No. Got to be a better way.

NO NO NO butt out of lives.

heck no!

Of course not. That's savage.

I think if I were an inmate serving a long sentence or if I were sitting on death row I think I should be allowed to choose for myself. Perhaps if I was worthless to society before I might be useful afterward. It might be a chance I'd want to take and if the surgery works on me it might work on many others. If criminals could pay their way more than they do now I think it would be a feather in societies cap.

I cannot answer YES to "court ordered" but I would definitely say YES to allowing criminals to decide for themselves.
