I've always thought so, but then again, I'm a cynic.
Something bad will always happen if you think far enough ahead or if you consider enough improbable circumstances. The foresight that cynics have, while misguided, I think makes them smarter.

I would think the average person is cynical, therefore no.
I don't think it has anything to do with intelligence. It has to do with who has hope.
