No. Never considered. Doubt that I will ever consider it. Funny thing how people in many countries despise Americans; well, if we're so awful why don't we want out? :-)
That's an idea, if we can relocate about 20 millions of US Citizens to Mexico we could run the place. Then those illegals who went into the USA could come back home.
Why, on Earth, would you give up your US citizenship? I cannot imagine it. To this day, I get a lump in my throat when I hear the National Anthem (do you listen to the words?). Surrendering my US passport would feel like I chopped off my arm.

Hopefully you'll remain blissfully ignorant to the reality that America is done. "The land of the free and the home of the brave" are now only lyrics; we are not free, and only those will take an unabashed look at what the politicians have been allowed, nay, encouraged to do to this once great nation can be considered brave. One might opine that, to depart and make a life elsewhere, borders on cowardice, but the vast majority of Americans would sooner watch Surviver than join in a protest much less any meaningful solution to our coming catastrophe. Heck, you'd be hard pressed to find but a handful of Americans who even recognize that we're in any kind of trouble. I only hope that when we're ready to leave, the government allows us to.

Well, feel free to pack up your survival gear, and your signed copy of "Industrial Society and Its Future" and jump the next flight to wherever makes you happy. I'm sure we'll all miss you.
Although I have to agree with you about the politicians.

Express discontent to whomever will listen (for all the good it'll do) and enjoy all the diversity (ditto).
Our sacrifices around the world? Whatever do you mean? Surely you don't refer to those young men and women who volunteered for military service. You have a strange and distorted idea of the meaning of bravery.
We struggle with trying to do the right thing?? I don't see any struggle. We (that is, our government) has forgotten what 'the right thing' even means, as have most American's.
No, I don't believe others of a different perspective are ignorant; I think IllinoisMike is ignorant of what our nation has devolved into. But he's happy with his delusional beliefs and I wish him to remain so. What seems to cause your frustration is your poor command of the English language, but with little effort this can be corrected if you so desire.
There are very few folks leaving our chosen destination for the U.S. It would be the equivalent of leaving a really well paying job and living in a nice neighborhood in exchange for being unemployed and living in a cardboard box; why would anyone do that?
No, this fallacy that the U.S. is the greatest country in the world is downright silly. It's actually quite sad that so many American's swallow this load.
I hope you're correct about the leaving thing. The qualifications to gain citizenship in our adopted country are that one must reside there for seven years. I think we can handle that. The only difficulty I see for myself is the steep learning curve of the language of that country, but I can request a restroom and order food, and most merchants there speak English, so it'll be an adventure.

Yes, and we are leaving.
LOL, legally I hope.
HeeHee
You'd be surprised how many of us Americans are down here, and are planning to become Mexican citizens!
You're right, I'm surprised.
I hear there are retirement communities in Mexico that are pretty nice, but....no thank you.

I've considered dual US - Canada citizenship.
That's as in: I'm an American, and I left!!!!
In a heartbeat! Actually my wife and I (sorry ladies) are working toward that goal.
