It was I that left it there--I had walked in to wash a dish and realized I had a cookie in the other hand, put it down--and when I found it the next morning, promptly put it the garbage without even hesitating.
Eeeeewwwwwww...NEVER!!!!! (it could have been poisoned...it could have been invaded by bugs...it could have been laced with drugs....ANYTHING could have happened to that cookie!!!)

(In actual fact, since I schedule the cleaning, it WAS a clean counter--but I agree!!)
There's areal good chance that I would, because I really like cookies. But, if it had sat out for very long then it would be stale. That would be bad.
