I've had them do that to me. All it takes is a quick kick in rear end to get them to stop.
He could have just given it a little shake when he had it by the neck and invited it for dinner.
He did a lot more than that and it still kept attacking. If I had gotten my hands around its little neck, the BS would have been over with.
Problem is, some game warden would be watching and there is a hefty fine for killing them out of season.
Cool video. I've never really worried about them except they shit too much on the beach. But you think they're dangerous? Watch this Bald Eagle attack and kill a goat.

Hey that was cool! I saw one like that years ago where the eagle would knock a half grown mountain sheep off a cliff then go down and eat the broken body. Smart killers!
BTW this is not Winnie the Poo stuff so some of you tree hugging Disney lovers think twice about watching these clips - they are "true life" action films and little animals do die in these films.
o.O
We train them to attack rednecks.
Geese are VERY territorial. Don't mess them, they won't mess with you.
I really hate them. They aren't dangerous per se, but they make a huge mess, and pollute ponds.
Plus, as they are still "endangered" you aren't even supposed to chase them away in many parts of the country (Wisconsin & Illinois, etc.)
Only the sub-species Aleutian-Canadian population is on the endangered list. The rest are crapping on golf courses and lawns and swimming pools all over America most of the year. The authorities need to raise the bag limit on the "over populated" species. I am sure most country clubs that have a golf course would agree.
This, of course, is a problem you don't have on Guam however.

Lots of boobies and frigatebirds. And, curiously, one called a Northern Shoveler. Yeah, I think we're familiar with that one.
But no geese.
There are virtually no birds on Guam. This article lists pigeons, etc., but the brown tree snake has pretty much decimated (in the modern sense of the word) native bird populations.
The last typhoons in the 70's wiped out the monkey and bird populations. When they bring some substitutes in to see if they will live on Guam, the brown tree snake eats them up.
I knew a goose who met an untimely end when it bit one of our Queen's guard at faire. The guard was asleep on a pallet in a tent after a 3 day drinking binge. Poor Peanut wandered in and bit him on the honker.
Long ago in England villages and hamlets used geese not dogs to warn of intruders at night.
Not only would they make noise to alert the night watch, they would often attack and sometimes even drive off intruders.
As recently as the 1970 there was a local pub landlord who used geese to defend his property.
Bird strikes can be deadly to large and small aircraft alike. In the list I link to here not only the Canadian Goose is considered dangerous, but many other bird species as well.

I reckon the birds might argue humans are just as dangerous. :-)
