No. Very unwise. Look at what happened in Vietnam. Then multiply it.

Vietnam is not in the MidEast

Thanks.

The MidEast and SE Asia are entirely different areas.

SE Asia during the 60's and 70's was about the spread of communism. Communists wanted to control these countries, but were/are not driven by a religion that calls for the killing of infidels (non-muslims). Although there are Islamic countries in SE Asia, they are quite different from the Arab countries of the Middle East.

Hope this explains my earlier comment.

Not all that okay. Millions were killed in that region after Vietnam fell. Those deaths are on the heads of the Congress who refused to support S.Vietnam after we pulled out.

It's you bleeding heart liberals that cause Vietnam to be a disaster. They were beaten (emotionally) and ready to give up, but our peace rallies and demonstrations gave them motivation. Sometimes we need to kick some a%*!!! What is wrong with you? Do you really want to hand over a country, government, infrastructure to the terrorists?

Billy, thanks for your comment. However, you don't even know my background so don't jump to conclusions.

I don't know the answer but Billy's comments are out of place. I don't have military knowledge but I think pulling out slowly could be devastating for our troops. I wish we could be neutral like Finland. I think money and greed brings on war.
