Will you Support a Preemptive strike if it's "very likely" there will be an attack on your country ? Ask a Question

I can't think of too many circumstances where I would support a pre-emptive strike at all.

"very likely," no.

"near certainty," maybe.

No. "very likely" isn't certain. The ONLY way to be CERTAIN someone is going to attack is when they do.

Interestingly, experiments show that pre-emptive actions cause more violence, not less.

The Six Day War was a brilliant example of a pre-emptive strike.

The way the IAF took out the (numerically vastly superior) Arab airforces was a true military classic.

Peral Harbour on the other hand was not so great however, but to his credit Yamamoto was convinced it would not work in the long term, and advised his superiors so.

Of course if they had had better luck and the Pac Fleet CV's had been in harbour .... who knows. (No Doolittle raid, no Coral sea, no Midway .... could have taken a whole lot longer to finish)

i wouldn't start any war! i will only defend my self strongly!

they are not supposed to be attacked! your problem is that u think no one is ling! both bush and ahmadinejad are ling! they are good liers! ok...IF and Only if Israel attacks us we will defend ourself strongly and you will see who is the loser! because if Israel wanna attack alone and get no help from usa they will be crashed like they were did in 33 days war and war agains Russia! you dont wanna wake up from your dreams my friend!

let's just speak about peace! iranian people and israel people needs peace! so let's just not talk about war! if any of both countries starts to attack the starter will be the bigger loser! i want to let you know that iran will NEVER AND NEVER AND NEVER is going to attack israel.ahmadinejad presidency will be over next summer! he can't do any thing!

Strong defence is best offence :-)

Here is what "drone detect whiskers" will be doing in present day war zones (actually bombing civilians)
