"Our" country? Which country is that?
He is only running in the usa
That's not our country. Sorry, just a subtle reminder that the site is global. Questions worded for a specific nation tend to create confusion.
My answer is no, however. Insofar as American foreign policy greatly affects other nations, most countries, including yours, will be much better off with Obama in the White House.
If Russia or China held elections do you think the dialog here (on this site) about their elections would be as incessant as dialog about the November 2008 USA election?
If you think the dialog about their elections (if they had any) would not be as incessant, is it because the USA is the greatest nation in the world, or is there some other reason, perhaps you think the USA government has a track record of being more unpredictable than governments in other countries?
These are guesses made in an effort to get you to explain your reasoning.
I would say it is because most people on this site seem to be Americans.
Not a critism, just a fact.
Russia recently had elections.
What reasoning do you want me to explain? I'm not clear on what you mean.
The reason you hear more about American elections here is because most participants are American.
That was my first thought too.
The US will be worse off with John McCain.
Please do not say will - I feel much more comfortable with would. I certainly hope we are not stupid enough as a nation to put McCain into office.

We will increase the slippery slope to extinction with BO at the wheel - mark my words! I feel sooo sad for my grandkids!
Christ, your fearmongering is beyond ludicrous now. You can't honestly expect anyone to take you seriously.
You never answered my question before - let me ask you directly. Are you on the RNC's or McCain's payroll?
I don't think he has the courage to answer. He didn't have the balls to answer to his plagiarist comment yesterday either. I seriously doubt he's working for McCain. Even the RNC is too smart to have this buffoon on staff. He's just a misinformed wannabe.
That's too bad. He could win valuable prizes!

No I am not in Politics.
My comment was not directed at you, it was a reply to Jonmarc.
Sorry for the confusion. Heh, you must have been wondering who the hell is this guy lambasting you out of nowhere. That's pretty funny.

People do take me seriously, you take me seriously or you wouldn't get all bent out of shape over my questions and comments.
And I'll tell you directly, I am not answering your comments like I told you in a previous comment because you are a foul-mouthed jerk. Just pretend I am not here...

I totally agree with you Jonmarc.

Me Too.
S'awright? S'awright.
I don't take you seriously, except to call you out on bullshit. I won't pretend you're not here - as long as you spout crap I'll make sure people know it's crap.
And I certainly don't get bent out of shape over it.
He is not Christ! (he is just a very naughty boy)
i am not in politics
I feel sad for both of my grandkids too. The current administration has put us so far into debt that they will be paying for it throughout their lifetime.
No guts, no glory.
Change is challenge, our country thrives on challenges.
No. It would be worse off with McCain as President.
can any one tell me what does being worse off mean?!!
It means not as well off. If you had ten figs and they were all you had to eat, but someone steals all your figs before you have a chance to eat them, you are worse off without the figs than you were when you had them.
The opposite of "worse off" is "better off." The person who wrote this question is insinuating the USA would be better off if McCain becomes President. Do you understand the differences now? :)
So better off would be when you have 10 figs to eat, and your friend drop in for a visit and gives you 5 more figs?
Indeed! Especially if they are fresh ripe figs with a juicy red pulp that hasn't already gone to seed. Most Americans I know have never tasted a fresh fig but when I was a kid I had an Italian neighbor who had a fig tree in his back yard. It was the most wonderful tasting fruit I had ever eaten! That memory is 50 years old and to this date I have never had such a delicious treat.
You cannot imagine how much better off I would be with five more figs, if they are fresh. Unfortunately they would be gone far too soon! :-(
Wow, what an endorsement.
Is there no way to obtain any now?
sort of www.figs-direct.com or something?
Figs-R-Us?
It seems like you can get pretty much anything these days if you are prepared to pay.
Also thanks for clearing up the rural values bit, being a city bloke I don't always understand the ways of the rustics :)
HaHa...
If you could have the fig trees flown in so you could pick them yourself, that might work. Unfortunately picked figs develop their characteristic "fig seediness" so quickly after being picked they must be eaten immediately. They sell what they like to call "fresh figs" in "gourmet produce" areas of some USA supermarkets, but a fig connoisseur can tell in a heartbeat they are anything but fresh figs. Sure their pulp may be slightly red but the "fig seediness" has already afflicted them badly by 24 hours off the tree.
Ask Saeed, I bet he can tell you bet than I can.
Hm. Based on your clarification, saeed might be left to conclude that the question is asking, of Obama is president, does that mean the US will have fewer figs?
Absolutely; however, the outlook on fresh figs looks dismal regardless of who wins in November.
I don't have a crystal ball, so not much help here.
I hope it does not cause too much gyp over here (or over there for that matter) whoever wins.
