As far as I know he can only veto and he has said he will do just that. But the U.S. has no choice in this matter they either reduce the budget deficit or go broke.
So you are unhappy because he reads his own words off of a teleprompter instead of his handlers' words off of note cards? You have even weirder 'standards' than I thought.
You must remember that he also stated that he would support the next President regardless of who it was. It would be safe to safe that we're still waiting.......YAWN

He believes in big government and he could care less about the deficit as long as he gets his agenda passed.
His agenda being, reducing the deficit
