I'd help out more homeless pets, but my rescue cat insists he is an "only" cat. I'm relegated to helping out humans instead. ;-)
Homeless people can (in most cases) help themselves. I agree with "BlackOrchid", they are homeless because of choices that they have made during their life.
but does that make them more important than animals? I can't see that.
