Hmmm, Bush does not imprison and ultimately in many cases kill Jews, Blacks, Gypsies, Gays, the physically disabled, the mentally infirm, Communists and political dissenters. He started a shitty war, but it's not a patch on WW2, he may have lost around 4200 American troops but look how many of the German army died in Siberia alone.

It's easy enough to whine on about Bush and what he has done, but those other three are responsible for death and oppression and suffering we can barely even comprehend - and we are seriously fucking lucky we can't. I'm sure the millions of their victims would have taken economic instability over torture and death without a second thought.

A good leader should be able to lead without the need for terrorising the populace, which is exactly how Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini ruled. Frankly it's bordering on offensive that anyone would suggest Bush is worse.

At least Bush only does it in other countries.

Give him time.

But seriously, you are of course correct, there are some valid comparisons between Bush and the other leaders. But no he was no where near as evil as those three

Although in an interview with Woodward, Bush was quite upset he did not hear how many Iraqi's his troops were killing. He heard the reports of troops dying, but he did not get a sense they were fighting back. Made me think he was either not in charge or not trusted with that information.

A better job with the German economy? Hitler's policies led to the near total destruction of the German economy in 1945.

Not to mention his war lost Germany the respect of the world. EVERYbody knew that but the German people. Now, why does that sound familiar?

It would take much more than a Bush or a Clinton to make me lose my respect for the USA.

Thank you. You're better than most.

read it wrong.....

How did he pick his nation up out of economic doom? By killing his political rivals and building up his infrastructure for war. Not to mention stealing the assets of the subhuman classes and ignoring a treaty which forbade them from building up for war. Yeah, that's great. Absolutely awesome. Oh yeah, at least he did that, what a mitigating factor. It sure as hell doesn't matter how you achieve economic growth, as long as you do it.

Yeah thats about it, glad you understand

No, he just lets the courts do it for him. Republicans support limiting access to the courts. Texas (under Bush) said it was OK to execute the retarded, gutted the appeals process, and ruled that a sleeping lawyer was adequate representation, just off the top of my head. Further investigation into what Texas has done to its court system makes it pretty clear that it is a systematic denying of rights to people of color--a large number of whom seem to be innocent of the crimes for which they were convicted. According to the Innocence Project of Texas, "Texas is home to more verified wrongful convictions than any other state in the union. "

Oddly--or maybe not so oddly-- it seems to affect people of color the most.

That's racism.

So, Blacks, Hispanics, and the mentally inform at the very least. I do believe in Texas they just batter gays to death, saving court costs.

This is what Bush wants for America, dude.

So, your answer?

Of the four choices, who is a better leader?

I don't choose among evils. That's how we ended up in our present system. Evil is evil. I don't accept the paradigm that says "This is the way it must be." That's the first step in changing it.

My feeling is, go with the body count. I do believe Mussolini's is way smaller than Bush's, who won't have the time to rack up the real big numbers like Hitler. Hell, even Hitler was a piker compared to Psycho Joe.

Actually. just looked up Mussolini's foreign policy in Wiki.

"In foreign policy, Mussolini soon shifted from the pacifist anti-imperialism of his lead-up to power to an extreme form of aggressive nationalism. He dreamt of making Italy a nation that was "great, respected and feared" throughout Europe, and indeed the world. An early example was his bombardment of Corfu in 1923. Soon after he succeeded in setting up a puppet regime in Albania and in ruthlessly consolidating Italian power in Libya, which had been loosely a colony since 1912. It was his dream to make the Mediterranean mare nostrum ("our sea" in Latin), and he established a large naval base on the Greek island of Leros to enforce a strategic hold on the eastern Mediterranean.

He and Bush would have agreed on that.
