An honest presentation will do little. The Congresscritters who take money from the industry aren't going to change, and that is the biggest stumbling block. Next is the stunning amount of money spent on propaganda. Those adherents aren't going to change their minds--excuse me, theri emotions, because the mind wasn't involved in their decision.

You should see the mailer I just got from Pfizer pushing Celebrex. It must have cost WELL over a dollar to produce and mail out, and it has a SCRIPT in it for how to convince your doctor to prescribe it for you.; yet it treats the consumer as too stupid to know what arthritis is. It also includes up to NINETY DOLLARS in coupons for the first three prescriptions that your doctor writes for the shit. I can't imagine taking a hugely dangerous NSAID--a COX-2 inhibitor like VIOXX!!!!--at a cost that is high enough to warrant a THIRTY DOLLAR coupon!! And we wonder why we can't afford health care!

You are telling the truth, don't even get me started. Big pharma is supposedly for the healthcare bill- I wonder what's in it for them? Always-Always find the money trail.

Personally I would prefer the single bill be broken down into much smaller bills and deal with issues one or two at a time instead of all or nothing.

There are some good ideas floating around out there but there are some that I am completely against.

You cant make a large number of people understand everything that is in the big health care bill but you could get people to understand bits and pieces at a time.

I voted very few will change their minds because I see this as being decided by people on an emotional level rather than an intellectual one.
