Eh. Unless they fundamentally change they way they've been building OS's lately, I doubt it'll be a major improvement. There certainly seems to be some promise with Windows 7, I won't deny that, but it seems only to be fixes from Vista. Thing is, fixing isn't good enough. They've got to build an operating system that works better, runs faster, is more affordable, and has fewer major issues, or it'll just be another system for IT workers to suffer through. Granted, this may actually be the current direction- I hear W7 can run on 1 gb.
I want Windows 7 to be great, I really do. But Vista was supposed to be new and exciting, and it flunked. Unless they can make 7 considerably more solid, more agile, and more approachable, it won't do any better, because it no longer has the "Ooh, shiny" factor.
