I've a confession to make: The factual, general knowledge, questions - whose answers are either 100% correct or not, are the questions which bore me most on ask500people.com. I very much enjoy the type of questions which don't have any definite answers, or have a 'grey area' of uncertainty surrounding them; most of my questions, for instance, you can't just google the answer and then click your mouse. But as I've seen plenty of factual questions being voted onto the main page, I reckon that there are plenty of people who enjoy factual questions, having definite correct answers and definite verifiably wrong answers.
Nonetheless, "what percentage of you would be happy to see more of which type of question?" should be an interesting question...
Why don´t you ask your question, with "Community" at the beginning?
It's a community question in which only 25 people registered on this website are questioned.
Yeah, now you´ve changed it...good
ooops, I slipped up this time. I put community in front for all my other community qtns. Apologies! Thank you to the person who spotted this and corrected same, so that 25 not 100 are voting.
No problem at all. We're working on a way to declare that a question is for the community as you're creating it. Right now we try to catch 'em in time and change the vote count manually.
I just hope ask500 doesnt turn into another one of those "how many times a week do u have sex"? kind of site!!!
agreed. And it's also reassuring to see that factual qtns - that could be answered with just a simple google lookup - aren't proving too popular in this vote.
i think it takes the fun out of the site if you just google for your answers!
