There were times in history when blacks, hispanics, and asians were the most discriminated, but now at least they have equal rights under the law (there is still discrimination), but the government does not even recognize gays as equals.
Quite honestly - I think it's fat, ugly people. They're more likely to be convicted of a crime, less likely to be hired for a job for which they have overwhelming qualifications, etc., etc. And it's a prejudice that no one seems to have a problem with. People don't even bother to draw a line of distinction between those who over eat and those who have medical or genetic conditions that make them the way they are. They are simply thought the worst of, and people feel self-righteous about the discrimination. They almost feel a responsibility to point out the obvious in as rude a manner as possible for the other person's "own good." Really sad.
And if you're ugly - nobody wants to have sex with you unless you have money. Fat, ugly people actually work harder because they HAVE to. And everyone will watch them work thinking they're a lazy slob.

Good point Sillynilly but from what I have been witnessing is the blind being treated badly. Did you know that blind people have been considered citizens only since the late sixties? ( other disabled people have always been considered citizens ). My friend said it was horrible when she was considered property which by law she was. No one wants to hire them no matter how smart they are. They are not even allowed to volunteer. Any help that they get has stricter rules to follow than being on welfare. If you are a middle income or higher blind person help is unavailable. Access to go places is a nightmare and unless you are one of the very few extremely lucky blind people whose family helps you you basically become a shut in. Blind people have a harder time getting school loans because they are considered "high risk" the colleges will say that blind people have a tenancy to fail more than sighted but the TRUTH is there is a higher chance that no one will higher them. The general public assumes that blind people are mentally disabled also ( usually not ) people yell at them thinking that they are also deaf (usually not ) they can hear better than most sighted people. When blind people go somewhere with a sighted friend people ask the sighted person questions instead of the blind person ( I have to look at the ceiling and act stupid so that people will talk to my friend about HER business. and not me though lately I have been rudly reminding them that they need to talk to her). Now the government is going to ban teaching braille to blind students which will make them illiterate and give society even more chances to treat them like they are stupid. There is more crap that the government and the general public do/don't do but that could just about be a book.
Very interesting points Doreen and sillynilly. I think it is almost impossible to answer this question since it all depends on "when" and "where". Black people in South Africa under apartheid where heavily discriminated against, before the arrival of the white man they were not, nowadays South Africa is one of the few countries that allows gay marriage, but that does not mean homosexuality is completely accepted and gay people do not face discrimination. And then what is more discrimination? A tiny minority group which faces a lot of discrimination or a larger one which faces lesser dicrimination but making up for many more cases because of the size of the group? When I try to answer the question for the current time and my country I would say it is probably disabled people or it is immigrants from Morocco and Turkey. When I only look at numbers and not at severity it is probably females. None of those groups are listed here as an answer option. I would guess black people face more discrimination than asians and hispanics here. But to compare it with the discrimination against gay people is difficult, the kinds of dicrimination are often different and a lot of discrimination remains hidden.
I also agree that a lot of discrimination exists towards groups that are often not even though of as being discriminated against. Such as obese or elderly people.
Personally I belong to several minority groups and the worst discrimination I ever had to face was when I was expelled from school because of my disability. I was absolutely shocked to find out that the laws of my country did not protect me at that point in time. Also when travelling I sometimes encountered discrimination based on my disability. I have been refused entry to such places as a museum, a mosque, a gay bar, a dancing, a boat, and the Berlin television tower...
Noxion did you actually read my comment? Blind people where property until the late 1960's. My friend was beaten, sexually molested, dressed up like a doll, did more house work than anybody else, and was just not listened to or taken seriously by anybody BECAUSE she was PROPERTY.
Ah - excellent point. Another reading difference has popped up between us, though.
I read it as "has to face." I read it twice before answering "homosexuals" since I took it to mean currently. If it'd said "has had to face" then I would have taken it to mean over a long period of time - and chosen Blacks. And a whole bunch of white men died to help free those blacks in that civil war. 50,000 in one day alone on a field in Pennsylvania.
Noxion Sillynilly pointed out to me that you were just answering in a general term and not directly to me. I apologize for assuming that you were talking to me.
I'm guessing that each will think they are the most discriminated against.

how about Caucasians

I've only known one blind person, but I was young and he was a friend of my parents - so I had no idea of what his life was really like.
What you say makes sense. The blind do have a great struggle in a sighted world. And in this world - being left handed is considered a handicap.
Sillynilly funny you should mention left handed people. My blind friend is left handed also.

As far as I know, none of those groups except blacks had a civil war instigated by people who wanted to keep them enslaved.

I don't think he read your comment, Doreen. He was responding to the question in general and posted his comment to the poll - not to you.

I was thinking in historical terms when I answered the question. I must say I've never heard of blind people being treated as property before.
I should have put jews on here then, i wasnt even thinking.
