When you subscribe to an email newsletter, and the content is more than a short note, do you prefer...

To get it all in the body of the email?
To get a short summary and a link to a web page?
To get a link to a downloadable PDF?

If it's a lot of information, I like to have the link to a website - though phishing is a worry, so I will always copy and paste a link rather then clicking directly. But I like to see the website in case there are other leads I can follow up on. And of course I can bookmark the site or save to del.icio.us. I'm a fan of TalkBiz - thanks for the link to this survey site! :D

Thanks, Jim. It seems to be very close between the web and email. PDFs are much lower than I expected, which is interesting, given the length of some of them.

Paul. I like it all in the e-mail. Opening up yet another browser tab on my overloaded browser makes me stop and think whether the info is worth the extra step.
