All you can really do is learn from the experience. What were the signs you ignored that things weren't what they should be? Where did you NOT listen to your better self?

I did see all the signs. But i asked him straight out what was going out and 'no its you i love' and i just beleived him - becuase i am always paranoid about everything, so i juts have to tell myself to ignore myself sometimes.

GIRL! Just been through this mess. For FOUR months I got every excuse in the book for why he couldn't see me. I even asked him if he wanted to start seeing other people, he said "No, no!" and the whole time he was already seeing someone else.
I'm 45, he was 46. So the problem is not your youth and inexperience. The problem is the choices you made, and choices those of us who believe whatever we are told by those we love DESPITE the evidence to the contrary. Be glad you found out now, and not when you were pregnant. Move on, and resolve to choose using a bit more wisdom next time. That's all you can do. Move on. My sister has a saying that, although I don't completely agree with, makes me laugh these days. She says: "Men are like paper towels. You rip one off, and there's another one right behind him." (lol)
