What really kills? is it the guns? or the people with the guns? Ask a Question

The guns, and by extension, the people with the guns. I'd say the people with the guns.

yes, but if you think about it who made the gun? the person did. a gun can't just up and decide to build itself. Nor can it decide to just shoot someone.

If some guy out there slams a shovel in someone's throat and kills him, are you going to blame the shovel maker?

One of the reasons I could not work for an arms manufacturer is the reason that guns are used for. (Even though 2/3 of the gun deaths in the USA are suicide and I support euthanasia)

I'm sure you could build a gun that could be programed to shoot people randomly . . . now that's a scary thought. It would make an interesting short story.

I just heard about that gun that killed the 8yo boy at the gun show, how sad :(

We need to hunt down and imprison that gun!

Gun control is putting your bullet where you want it.

Curious: now that you are making this a different issue, are you for birth control and sex education?

I have no problem with birth control that stops the sperm and ovum from uniting in conception. Sex education is the parents' responsibility not the Government's. The government schools should teach that sex before marriage leads to broken hearts, disease, pregnancy and possibly death or infertility later in life when people are married and actually want to have children. I believe in teaching abstinence until marriage as the only 100% effective way to prevent pregnancy and stop life-threatening diseases.

Funny that, I always thought it was marriage that leads to broken hearts, disease, pregnancy and possibly death.

Technically, even more kills are made using a condom...

Nope, I don't think so as no one is killed when sperm are not able to unite with an ovum egg.

I think that was less of a response to your version of an "ugly truth" and more of an "off subject and stupid" vote down. (no, I did not vote you down.)

Here you go. A little education on abstinence only programs.

I don't believe in Abstinence only education. I also believe in teaching the negative consequences of not so "Safe" sex as they apply to the STD's you can contract, the broken hearts that are generated by early before marriage sex, the emotional/physical damage done by abortion, etc.
