Your question assumes that the price will keep rising. I would have preferred to see $5 per gallon and lower values as an option.
Excellent point you make here. However, I have yet to see gas prices do anything other than increase over the past 6 months.
In the past week the price of Oil has seen a big sell off. If the high prices have more to do with manipulation then demand we could certainly see them fall over the next year.
About 5 bucks.
