Iranians are so angry about the election being held in iran on July 12th! the result was so shocking! in most of the polls the last prime Minister of iran Mir hossain Moosavi (whose name is like Barack hussain obama) was ahead with more than 54% percent and ahmadinejad only had 34%! but the result of the election (that was being held by Ahmadinejad's group because he is still president) was completely different! Ahmadinejad 64% and moosavi 33%!!! watch the pictures of people wearing Green for the color of Mir hossain moosavi and complaining in the links! it is estimated that more than 3 meilion people of Tehran attended in protests on 15th July!

It is good to see your name here, saeed, I have wondered how you have been managing in the last while, with everything that's going on. Stay safe.

thank you! every thing is so strange here! specially in Tehran! unfortunately im not in tehran right now! but my relatives say that people are still fighting against Ahmadinejad dictatorship!

Stay safe. :-)

^ What they said.

I hope your government reaches an agreement soon. :)

Everyone on Twitter supporting "Green" has colored their avatar green, myself included. :-)

Good idea, just did the same myself

:-)

How are you doing, saeed? Are you still ok and save? Oh, I really do hope so!

It's for many weeks in the news with pictures and videos (later they arrived the West secretly) here as well as in Germany, where I am from. I was and still am worried about you and was releaved to hear from you. It meant, at least you are alive and not in jail. At the same time I got goose bumps, because of the enormous risk you took to inform us. Hat up to you, saeed, and thank you so very much. I really do hope, "they" will not catch you and you won't get into trouble. You know, you cannot be careful enough, saeed. There are no correct words for to express what you and your people have to go through. Even though, I cannot imagine there will be peace again soon, but I am not willing to loose my hope either.

From the bottom of my heart I wish you the very best health and please be very, very careful, saeed. You are in my thoughts.

Please don't take the risk to answer, please!

I am in two minds about this, I think it is great that people stand up for their rights, I think it is sad that people are getting killed over this.

I have no doubt that the election was fixed, but what do you expect what will happen now, when the person that runs the election is the same person that endorsed the "winning" candidate?

Let me be clear I very much support the people standing up for democracy. And what is happening in Iran is shown is a major event in the news media here. It seems we have never had this much news coverage of Iran in a year as we get every day these last few weeks.

Wishing you and all Iranians a peaceful outcome! (also hoping that democracy prevails)

I share your concerns. I know there is probably very little accurate information getting out of Iran right now, but based on what is available, I have not yet seen a compelling reason for the ruling parties to yield anything to the protesters. I am also concerned since most of us in the west have probably never heard of Mousavi more than two weeks ago, and I don't know if he is any better than Ahmadinejad. Perhaps he should have won, but would that fundamentally change anything? I just don't know enough about that.

I don't know much about either one, I just don't like cheating.

let me tell u guys! be sure that Mr Moosavi is much more better than ahmadinejad! Mr khatami president of iran before ahmadinejad is behind moosavi and he is the one who started to talk with all of the world! if u want any information about something special let me know!

All I understand about Mr Moosavi is that he wants to give women more equal rights, that is a big plus as far as I am concerned, but if I had to vote I would check him and the other candidates out a little closer.

I am worried for the people in your country, my prime minister should not speak out on what is going on there other then condemn the violence, but I am in favor of fair elections and equal rights.

I also run software to allow people to bypass the firewalls. Censorship is an evil that needs to be defeated.

i can have some pics of fights between the Guards and people in the streets! even Religious people are fighting against the Rejim!

Rachel Maddow on MSNBC ran a special last night about it here in the states, and showed videos of the fighting in the streets and also the death of Nada Soltan. Other stations have shown these too, and it is all over the papers. Rest assured the word is getting out to the world, saeed. Stay safe!

So you like Rachel too?!

I have to be honest though, I watched her more in the two weeks before the election than I have in the 5 months following the inauguration.

I mostly watch her because my mother has taken a liking to her (mom is 83, mildly nuts and thinks Rachel is pretty and witty - I'm not sure how much of the political topics she gets). I used to listen to her radio show alot. I probably would choose to watch Rachel's show on my own if I watched television voluntarily, which I don't - it is mostly to keep my mother company.

Pretty, witty, and gay, but honestly I don't care about the "gay," it's just fodder for conversation (i.e., gossip).
