I think the education system needs BETTER teachers, not more. There are those rare amazing educators out there but sadly the majority of them are unqualified.

Politicians always say that they're going to invest in education, reform education, etc. All they ever do is take money AWAY from public education. If our country values the education of its young people, it will put its money where its mouth is. Schools are teetering on the edge of collapse under NCLB (No Child Left Behind), an empty, underfunded initiative that Bush used to get elected but never fully intended to support.
