I've been out here for eighteen months, and still cry if I see a commercial shot back in Northern California
Other images that come to mind are Trolleys, Alcatraz, and those types of houses you see in the opening credits of "Full House".
Yeah, me too, but those weren't among the choices given. With other choices "Gays Central" wouldn't have been the first answer to occur to me. If I had seen this poll in 1968 I probably would have picked "Golden Gate" or "Earthquake!" But if there were choices like "Chinatown," "Summer of Love," or "Alcatraz," I probably would have been as likely to pick one of these other answers.
