Great question. I think online dating is a good way to meet new people. I should emphasize "meet" here, because too many people never get to the meeting part and only are in touch online. I always meet as soon as possible.
Good point. Some people just like to have online contact only (and never come out of their couch ;-)
I want to vote no, but I don't believe in love at first sight either, so I can't really use your poll.
Read the statement as "I only believe in love at (first) 'sight'". Or, in other words, I want to meet people in real life and talk instead of meeting online and write/chat.

None of the above. I met my girlfriend using online dating over 3 years ago, so therefore:
1) I think it's great,
2) I don't have online dates 'regularly'.
I met my wife online in 2000....8 March to be exact. Met in December of that year in Odessa, Ukraine, did the paperwork and we were married in August 2001. So it is a good tool to use....
I have found it works very well for Mr. or Ms. right now, but not much if looking for anything more than fun.
Joined eHarmony once. Got psychologically 'matched' with a bunch of losers. Kinda hurt my self esteem. (lol)
