Me either, I find it strange that we do ours 3 days early.
I did notice an abundant of asshats being fire hazards all over the place this year. (My neighborhood is a collection of high rises, setting fireworks off in the street *do not* clear the buildings.)

In NYC, they were moved from the east side to the west side and made bigger.
Oddly there is never a fireworks display on 4 July in my local area.
