No. The educators were mostly incompetent, particularly insofar as their ability to educate across a wide spectrum of intellects was concerned. The smarter the pupils, usually, the less competent the educators. Smart kids have to carry quite a burden in the lower grades if they are smarter than their teachers and their parents. Without a lot of luck they will probably end up becoming criminals and it's not really their fault at all. Society is just unqualified to properly educate smart kids. Their only chance in life is if they have smart teachers or smart rich parents. Then they can prosper very well.
