How can that be answered without knowing the details of the crime?

I suspect if it had been done in the USA you and others would be condemning us in no uncertain terms. Why the pussy-footing on this question?
Pussyfooting? I simply suggested that we needed to know what the crime was before we could answer properly.
And my point was, would it be proper to throw people off a building for any crime?
But the original question has possible answers such as "They deserve death but not by this method". How can we determine if they 'deserve' death, by this method or any other.
For the record, my answer would be 'no'. This is a cruel and inhumane punishment.
I do guess it's a lot less stressing and painfull then gas chamber, electric chair, guillotine or the hope. I would prefer it myself.

Where the hue and cry for lawyers and appeals and humanity, etc.
Thats murder, life in prison for them.
So, if I am destitute and need a place to live and be fed, I can murder someone and the state will provide for my needs.

I dun remember this kind of execution happened before. we have had stoning but not this one.
I can imagine how inhuman these guys are (the criminals) and they deserve the worst.
I'm against execution, but in Iran's condition they better be executed cuz they may scape from prison if they are not executed.
but of course not by throwing off a height, this is more inhuman.
It's your country. Handle it the way your laws provide.

Maybe I'm not that afraid of heights, but still can't see why falling from a building is that worse than being stoned to death (by real stones, of course ;) or being hanged (my personal nightmarish choice of worst form of being killed).
About other forms of execution in the region. I remember just after the Xa was deposed, in Iran, some people were executed by the revolutionaries by having their arms and legs tied to four different jeeps, that would then move away from each other, dismembering the victims. Ouch!
