Trust: In the past 20 years, would you say that people have become more trustworthy, or not? Ask a Question

This has been a very interesting question for me. Surely the correct answer is that which less than 20% chose - that people's trustworthiness has remained more or less the same in 20 years. What I believe is skewing this pole, is simply people's increased perception of being unable to trust others. Which, owing to the growth of technology, *seems* far more likely to be exploited now. That is to say, voters on this pole are confusing the relative ease with which trust can be exploited now and that is preventing them from considering the fact that people have not suddenly become extremely untrustworthy in just one generation!
