But I don't WANT to believe in an organized religion, not even one based on there being no god (as is indeed the case). I prefer the term null-theist. As in "nothing: a quantity of no importance"

yeah but atheism is all about not supporting religions so that would be a problem

Oh, yes it is. As an atheist. As an American. As a free person. It is EXACTLY about what I want.
