I actually think it's not like a regular country at all- In language, culture and many other facets. We're made up of a bunch of states that are more like individual countries. The culture in my own state is as different from that of say, California or New York, as Australian culture might be. The actual federal government seems distant and surreal, while my state issues and government are tangible and real to me.
I am quite curious whether Wing and BO are doing it as a team to the new guy, to try to throw suspicion off themselves, or if this is indeed one of them in a new guise. Despite jhn's protests, I think it is quite possibly BO marking his own questions down because he thinks we are more likely to read them. Jhn recently posted this:
"The BO/TB accounts are marked down because he pissed us off so the questions from those two accounts are removed and his comments are on -5 or below. And the liberal comments that are not abusive get +2 for every -1. If he shows similar behaviour in other accounts they will suffer the same fate."
Yet I see no indication that TheCenturion has ever made a rude remark. Any explanation, jhn?
To be honest, IF he were JonMarc, I would respect him more if he would make one profile and stick to it. I've told him this before. One profile. One opinion. No problem. Why be a little sneaky POS? It loses credibility for the mature members here. IMO....

When I was in elementary school a long time ago, we learned that the US is like a melting pot and Canada is like a mosaic. Does this still ring true?
My experience is that in Canada there is little racism maybe even less then in the U.S. I would say it is a melting pot.
My thoughts on magnet: The US attracts people to it but is polarly divided. Your thoughts?

Nobody claimed it was like a REGULAR country... far from it. Very very very far from it.
"The USA is most like a country" kind of has a silent "regular" implied in there. I'd be fine with what I wrote taking the "regular" out altogether.

Nothing he has said has been anything like JonMarc, but even if it was, why not let him go nice on a profile.
