No, it is one of the very very few subjects that students have fun in. Chemistry, Biology, History, Maths, English, RE, Geography, Phyisics, English Literature, Spanish, French, Geology, etc. is all about writing, memeorizing facts, learning equations, writing essays, answering mind-numbingily boring questions.
It's good to have fun 1% of the time.
Besides, creative arts encourage imagination and thinking for yourself- in art or shop class, for example, students often come up with their own ideas for projects. So I think they are very important!
Exactly.
