I already did that and did, successfully, complete the quiz. I was being naive with translate's snarky response and looked up his group name-duh. I am not used to conversing with people who intentionally use language that is so sarcastic, and not really knowing him (translate), I didn't know that his comment was not sincere, but a way to try to make your comment seem ridiculous.

That's just the way he is. Most of the folks here are used to his way of showing where he came from.
If he doesn't have an answer, he some times has good comments, he insults you, marks your comment down or marks your question inappropriate. I don't really want to get involved in your feud with Black Orchid. I don't agree with everything he writes and I've commented on it just like I've commented on things I didn't like that you and others wrote. I do agree with a lot of what he writes and you can see that from some of my questions and comments.
What turns me away from you is your, I am right and you aren't, attitude and your attack and insult tactic if you don't seem to be able to change their mind. What's bad about that is if you can't come up with a comment or retort with fiber, you fill up with your waste and start spewing it out in the form of insults and foul mouth comments instead. If you don't have a good arguing point, try not commenting at all.

Usually moderating down means you disagree with someone's position (or you think they are being a rude jerk), and moderating up is an agreement with the commenter's statement. Some statements are just guaranteed a moderate down from some people - religion is one of those topics where certain members can't help but be jerks about it. (I stay out of those arguments).
In your case I suspect that someone on the site has tagged you for a pinko-commie liberal and is moderating you down at all costs, no matter what you say. The same thing happens to me, dauguy, translate, sillynilly, odessaphiles, plawler, and a host of others. We refer to it as acquiring your own "personal stalker". Generally, we vote each other back up to "1" when we get a chance. I usually moderate you back up when I see the stalker tagged you for no reason.
If it is any comfort, Blackorchid appears to have won (as usual) the stalker brigade fight, by having more than anyone else, although his comments are usually just marked down because he is a big attention-getting dick as well as being rude to boot, and everyone else is tired of him (including other members of the conservative community, who have told him they moderate him when his is out of line.) Don't feel bad about it, just ignore it. Some people can't help being who they are.
