if they create such an important project, I think human wouldn't be needed to go aout there, cause they could always give it a try with expensive expensive machines

Where's the fun in that(?!)

We could design our AI robots to experience fun :)

Think that would have told us about the dangers of calcium-leaching when outside a gravity field for too long?

There are things that can be done by machines, but ultimately, you need to send people sometime.

Good point. Knowledge is gained, and the explorer spirit is kind of irrepressible.

I think its a good thing that not all people feel like that. I will admit that I have no real desire to explore space but I am glad that there are people that do.

I think this is the excuse people always use when people think they should be making decisions for you. It's crap. I would no sooner deny someone climbing Mount Everest than smoking a dooby.

Wouldn't it be the same thing if the pilot just had a double martini? Methinks you're picking on doobies. What did doobies ever do to you? ;)

If he has a double martini before every flight he is still habitually breaking the law. One intoxicant or the other, what's the difference?
