Should we start drinking more (filtered) tap water ? Ask a Question

Only if you filter it yourself, but in a majority of the US and Europe, the drinking water quality is very good. It is really stupid to keep buying bottle tap water. Get it out of your own faucet.

gah, I agree. It's so wasteful. I see people leaving grocery stores with those flats of bottled water...and they just look like idiots.

strongly depends on the (filtered) part. I usually drink tap water where it's good (ie mountain sources or cities with really good filters), where it doesn't feel right I don't bother to filter it myself

oh and btw the water over here comes from a mountain lake

Yes, drink lots of water, it is good for you, just watch the spillage.

Damn dog.

I have been filtering my tap water for a few years.

We have been in drought for years and our water smells of Chlorine and the government also puts Fluoride in the water.

That is just the smell of clean--if it doesn't smell it isn't good for you. And fluoride keeps your teeth from rotting from the chlorine.

ask any other

Right out of the tap. I have a pitcher with filtered water for guests, but rarely bother to use it for myself.

The water system is a big concern every where right now. read this article about prescription drugs found in 44 million american's tap water.
