yep sure is....spanish has a lisp to some letters that mexican does not, also mexican is also a composite of some english, spanish, and indian. border mexican is different I understand than that spoken in say Mexico City or in some of the rural areas of mexico.
Oh, you mean the way American is different than English or Applachian is different from American. When I lived in Brooklyn I would have had no idea what you meant if you said you loved your pee paw and your mee maw or mam maw. I reckon that's what you mean when you say it's not Spanish (although really it is, just like American is still English).
Bi-Lingual nations, invariably through history, have suffered from internal problems whenever there were two or more languages of the land. In modern times both Canada and the Balkans are good examples

English only, of course!!! All naturalized citizens have to know English so why would we want to know Spanish for the benefit of criminals (illegals)?
ENGLISH! If I wanted to learn to speak spanish, I would go to Spain, if I wanted to speak mexican, I would go to mexico.....! period!
