I think we should have a well defined minimal mass for all planets, and anything below that should be considered just a space rock.

Last I heard Pluto is a Dwarf planet and Eris is larger than Pluto. I'd like Pluto's original status restored and thus have planet 10 being Eris.

Yah, but the problem is we are likely to find a LOT more objects that are bigger than Pluto in the Kuiper belt. Perhaps thousands.
