There are lots of people I'd like to cuss out, but throwing a shoe seems a bit childish. Oh well, symbolic gesture and all. News reports are that Iraqis were all supportive and whatnot, but how are we not going to jail someone for assaulting a head of state. Seriously?
Personally, I would volunteer to insert that shoe forcefully up the thrower's anal canal and staple it shut.

Now, if they only learned to shrug them off, Western style, instead of the Death to This, and Behead That, THAT would get them somewhere. So maybe we can count the shoe as a step in the right direction- its not as civilized as an editorial, but it certainly tops a grenade. Considering all the ugliness that has come out of Sadr City- the mass killings, the bombings, the medieval theocratic mindset, etc- give the guy some credit for rising above the lowest expectations.
Let's see, on the subject of killing others over insults:
