For a long time I have thought the majority of drugs should be available without a prescription, except for those which need special handling to retain therapeutic effectiveness.
Yes, that is what I was trying to get at, sure weed should be legal but why doesn't anyone question why lifesaving drugs as a whole need permission to be taken.

One note-worthy quote from the 1938 congressional transcripts(shortly after the time of the great depression remember) that shows clearly that Dupont had "bought" at least one congressman to do their bidding reads like this; "We know who uses that marijuana; it's them nixxers and them spxxks and we all know that they're taking away the jobs of regular God-fearing white people...", since the time the U.S. congress voted for marijuana prohibition in 1938, it's absence in the pharmacies and commercial hemp seed and hemp fiber markets drove it's supply and demand value to heretofore unknown economic levels and today, around the world, marijuana remains valued at near the price of gold LITERALLY! While those in power in the western world(i.e. those capable of skiritng the law through their influence)are able to grow 14ft. tall marijuana plants in a few months time, process this crop and sell it for more than $5000 a pound it shall remain "ILLEGAL" forevermore...
very interesting..
ASAP!!
What a great source of tax revenue for the state!
Ever watch "Refer Madness"? Public opinion is easily swayed in any direction. Toss a couple of reactionaries into the mix, and reality goes out the window!
