Should Georgia (country) be admitted to NATO and European Union. Note: Georgia is in Asia. Ask a Question

Strictly speaking there is no such thing as "Asia" except in school textbooks. The concept of Asia was invented by Europeans because they were pretentious and didn't want to be associated with the "Asians." So, the put them on another "continent."

Given that, and the fact that NATO stands for North Atlantic Treaty Organization, I don't see what difference it makes in geographic terms.

I hope one day both Russia and Georgia will be part of the EU.

Russia is part of the Russian Federation I don't think they will join the EU any time soon. They're just better of as it is.

As for Georgia, I don't see anything against them joining. Turkey is in negotiations and they're more in Asia than in Europe.

I certainly think Ukraine and Moldova should join.

Russia is not part of Russian Federation. It is Russian Federation. Russian Federation is just the official name of the country.

And I hope that one day Sweden will not.
