The people wanted him impeached in 2006, but Pelosi is a coward. Was more concerned with gaining the White House instead of doing what was right and good for the country. Even the Saudis fired his ass by refusing to pump more oil.

What? So Cheney could finish the term? A very frightening thought.

I've thought about that. That's probably WHY Pelosi didn't truly begin proceedings.

Pelosi can't bring it, succession at that point goes to Speaker of the House; she would have to step down.

There were a bunch of Republicans screaming at the first chatter in November, 2006, that they would consider the joint impeachment and the Pelosi presidency as a political coup. They would have been unhappy. Me - I didn't have a problem with it. Kinda makes me laugh whenever I heard people squeal that she shouldn't have toured Iraq and other middle eastern countries. Said it wasn't her place. Made me laugh. She's in position #3. It WAS her place.

No, I do believe that if GW was impeached it would bring down Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rove, and a cast of thousands.

For all intents and purposes, since NAFTA went into effect, what happens here DOES affect Canada AND South America even more than it did before. Welcome to globalization!

Right now, the rest of the world thinks far more of Canada and Canadians than they do of America and Americans. And people like you are why we are viewed with less respect than ever before. This poorly planned, poorly executed war has made America look weak. But I suppose you think that's the fault of the liberals and Canadians rather than the fault of those who planned and executed this war. It's Bush's fault, yake. Poor planning, poor thought, poor execution. It IS his fault, yake. The whole mess.

Hauli - PLEASE, for MY sake - PLEASE note that his name is 'crazyYAKE.' The lot of us still kinda like the term "yank" and don't want it besmirched.

It will never happen again. My apologies.

It is just not worth the expense. There are bigger issues we need to work on, like fixing the damage he has done.

One bite at a time. Think of this as the time the pipes in the house have burst, the shut-off valve is rusted open, you've called the plumber but they're caught in traffic and won't arrive until January 14, 2009. You did try calling that OTHER plumber first - back in 2006 - but they just stood there looking around at your house saying: "Man, this is one really big mess!" We've got enough time to finish getting the rage out of our system so when the plumber gets there, we'll be able to assist to the best of our ability. Too bad that each passing moment means they'll need extra-good plumbing skills. I hope they study up on some theory while they're stopped in traffic.

For the lies he told that got us into Iraq. For listening in on our telephone conversations - which is against the law. For having Americans arrested and held without explanation, and then not letting them talk to a lawyer or appear before a judge. Those are very important things in a free country, and he has and continues to take away our rights to have a trial. He has done many things that go against the basic rights of all Americans, but no one is standing up to him. An impeachment would put a stop to his ability to do this.

Dragon, I want you to know that I watched that clip. The whole thing. I reached it with Firefox, but then it opened with my Windows Media player. I started to write a reply, but I'm damn LONG winded anyway, and right now I'm setting an Ask500 record. (lol) (Come to think of it ... I probably already hold that record) (sigh) It's because, in all honesty, I understand exactly where you're coming from, and I wanted to explain WHAT I understand about your viewpoint, but why I disagree, and hand you specific arguments about WHY I believe what I believe. I might end up having to create a free blog page, and answer you there. But it'd probably make you crazy to read. (lol) Do you really want to know what I think about this issue? I'll even let you argue back, you know. I like that part just as much as leveling the arguments. But you have to remember to be rational. And no name calling! (lol)

And you can't give YAKE the address!! He'd just show up and fill the blog with nasty comments about foreigners and Canadians and stuff. (lol)

That's not true. I always question any authority that insists I follow them blindly. There is a reason they demand my blind loyalty, and often, after time passes, I discover it was so they could USE my loyalty for their own gains.

I deny your claims that I am a backstabber - quite the contrary. A backstabber is a hypocrite. And I say what I mean, and mean what I say. If given evidence that shows me, beyond a REASONABLE doubt that I am wrong, I will apologize and change my opinion. Republicans don't like or respect that. They call it "flip-flopping."

I draw the conclusion that Bush was twisting the facts in this march to war based on the intelligence he gave Congress. It wasn't WHAT was in the intelligence reports - I certainly wasn't privy to that information. But, what I WAS privy to was the fact that Bush did not give ALL of the evidence to Congress. The Bush administration had the unmitigated GAUL to had Congress their case for war with entire paragraphs and PAGES blocked out. Congress requested access to the same, unaltered briefings the President had. The administration responded that our CONGRESS did not have proper authorization to view classified documents.

By that very action, our President informed our duly elected Congress - the only entity with the Constitutional authority to declare war - that they didn't have the right, or clearance, to make a proper assessment of a situation that he said war was required for.

The clip that you sent me was solid propaganda. And I'll tell you WHY it was propaganda: as it played clip after clip it failed to account for what was HAPPENING at the time those quotes were played. During the Clinton administration, Saddam was still playing hide and seek with the WMDs and refusing to submit to UN inspections. By the time Bush made his case for war - the French had obtained as much proof as was possible that Saddam had destroyed the weapons. Every single person and nation that spoke out that the march to war was wrong - the Bush administration systematically worked to destroy. I can show you case in point, and the time line of events. But you aren't interested in facts, are you? It's easier to attack other people than it is to listen to facts that give conclusions that are different from your own opinion. That's part of Bush's problem, too.

I don't hate Bush, I really don't. I feel sorry for him, really. Did he intend to create this mess? No. I don't believe it for a minute. I think he's a patsy. I'm angry with him for being a weak bastard who's easily led. And I'm angry because he is the ONE person who could have stood up and said "this is crazy ..." but he didn't. I have my suspicions why. But I fear the world for our children, too. But I don't fear it so much because of the nut job terrorists. I fear their daily lives will never know the properity we have known, and part of the crushing weight will be due to the weight of the debt we so freely dumped upon them. This mess and downfall is entirely of our own making.

Get your priorities straight - what Bush has done is nothing compared to getting a hummer in the oval office, which is obviously an impeachable offense.

Getting a hummer in the oval office isn't impeachable. Lying about it under oath is.

The current administration refuses to answer anything under oath (even to questions that are national issues, unlike the "hummer") - pretty much sums up their honesty.
