No way. The game calls for an umpire to call the play and I think that's the way it should stay. Right or wrong.
Absolutely agree. Leave baseball alone.
Let's keep it a game of people, not machines, at least on the field (I know they use computers to compile stats and play strategies).
I like the analogy to real life--there is no 'do-over' if you don't like the answer.
yes, the same as football

Wait ... but ... nope. No instant replays and no changing calls! And no slow-motion replays from the press box where the guys with the headphones keep ragging the call, neither! (HA!)
Sorry, I read it wrong.
After reading what you said at the top, I figured that out. I do it all the time. Was just giving you some crap! (x)
Hauli,Make up your mind.
Sorry, I read it wrong.
But I agree with your first comment partially. Baseball is sometimes slow enough as it is.
Yes. All pro sports should have it. Lessens the chance of games being rigged.
Woo Hoo! Good answer, Wingnutt! In fact I think they should go to the computer for calling all balls and strikes. I have watched too many important games lost by the wrong calls of the home plate umpire. Heck, they show the balls and strikes on that computer view now anyway, might as well make it legal during the game as it is very accurate.
