Should ASK500 provide a translation service, only accept questions in a specific language, or stay the way it is? Ask a Question

I don't have a specific view here, but sometimes I see questions in other languages and wonder if I am missing out on a good discussion.

It seesm arrogant to ask for everythign in English, but most users seem to come from english speaking countries - but that is probably because it is mainly in english - chicken and egg situation.

A good translation service means human translators, which I suspect would be too costly. The cheapest online human translation service I know charges about $50 minimum. So use the google translation program. Like most such programs, it is pretty literal, but you can usually figure out what the asker meant.

The questions in other lanuages don't get far, they get about three points, tops. It would be chuffing if they were all in english somehow.

I know, a delayed reaction!

Creo que es muy buena la manera en que se. Yo sólo uso traductor Google.

Yo también.

The gTranslate plugin for Firefox does a remarkably good job at translating over 20 of the most common languages. People can easily do their own translating with it. And it is free. :-)
