Too many people give "professional" advice on how to raise your children. Usually these people have never raised any children and simply spew the politically correct theories.
IN USA there is a federal law to educate students with disabilities. There are procedures to identify and service these students. Parents and schools reacted to this with much confusion. This has led to an adversarial relationship between all parties, at all times. The issue was never solved.
What we see today is a neglect of educational standards for all. The "dumbing down" of education. This was never intended by the legislation. IMO this reaction was/IS maintained by "professionals" as a way to circumvent and force change to the simple idea that all students must be educated to the level of their abilities. That is the law for the brightest among students and those with disabilities.
Not living accomodations. Student accomodations means....If you have anger problems, we can give you anger managment, if you don't do your homework this week and it makes you fail the class, then you can always make it up next week for full credit, if you break dress code, you have to be written up 3 or more times before you are punished, etc.

Too true!
PS: Please reword the question, I can hardly make heads or tails of it!!
Who are the people? I agree that many "talking heads" on TV are like this. Do you think that schools/teachers are like that as well?
