Not as long as they maintain a totalatarian form government. The same applies to China. If either of these two countries unleash the power of its people, no telling.
I'm not. I'm just well read. You see... people who think for themselves read both sides of an issue... not just the one they agree with. I've read Ayn Rand, too.
No, mugwumps were Republicans who switched parties to support Grover Cleveland. On the other hand, not looking at both sides of the issues... called narrow minded.
It could be that a country like China isn't motivated to take over the world "anything" by force or a show of power. Isn't it the Eastern philosophy that the most powerful substance is water because it can go anywhere and assimilate new territories just by being present and unobtrusive, taking new territory without bloodshed. And when a civilization is over 5,000 years old, is there any reason to hurry? The only reason to raise a hand at all would be to keep someone else from getting out of line, but only raising a hand as a warning, no actual aggression. I think the language to learn will be Chinese, eventually. Maybe not in the 21st century, maybe not the 22nd, but yes, eventually.
I think US will be passed sometime. Soon or late it will happen.
US government wants all the progress and power in the world for itself. However, people in the world don't bear such attitudes anymore. They do their bests to have power and progress. This is just happening in my country, Iran. You can check the truth of this sentence in google news by searching for Iran.
It is time to change our monopole world.

What a bunch of crap. If the US wanted to it could take your country and turn it into our 51st state. You people don't realize that we want the rest of the world to succeed and prosper. It is little backwater countries like you that cause so much trouble in the world and then we have to go fix all you have destroyed.
Iraq was the cradle of civilization. If the U.S. can have such history under it's belt 5,000 years from now it will be quite an accomplishment. Get out your Bible Mike and tell me what part of the world Eden was in. :-)
Oh you mean when we declared, "Mission Accomplished?" Let's see... how many days ago was that? Oh yeah, 1,755. Good thing we got that one taken care of and got out of there, huh?
Mission accomplished? Oh, you mean the day Bush put on a pilot's costume and told everybody about the great victory from the deck of that aircraft carrier. Funny thing, I forgot what that event was supposed to prove. :-)

Umm... okay. You need to go back and read your Marx, Mike. Communism <> totalitarianism.
Russia attempted to unleash the power of its people in 1917... didn't work so well for them. ;o)
China is communist in name only. Economically, they are as capitalist as it gets.
I can well believe you are well-read on Marx.

both sides of the fence? called a mugwump.
No, mugwumps were Republicans who switched parties to support Grover Cleveland. On the other hand, not looking at both sides of the issues... called narrow minded.
Wal-Mart is alive and doing very well in China, Mike.
OK, so?

Our new Prime Minister is fluent in Mandarin.
Good for trade indeed, perhaps. :-)
Perhaps not. By 2050 the largest English speaking country in the world will be...?
Yup. China.
good answer Chip
We will never know.
Meaning "we" won't live to find out? :)
Yep
I dont think so!

Geez yake, don't hold back. Tell those Mexicans how you really feel about them.
No Mexicans have posted a comment in this section. :-)
Oops, sorry. Tell those Iranians how you really feel about them!
Well said crazyyake, but you can expect the USA and Bush haters to jump your bones.

Don't want to upset you but we took Iraq out in 3 weeks...Iran would take 2 weeks....Russia will never be a super power again.

I think the third, after China and India... but we have to wait too much: 2012 is so far...
I think you are smoking too many of those funny cigarettes.
What kind of funny cigarettes do they smoke in Italy, Mike?
