Amen and hallelujah. I totally agree with this. Its time someone spoke up and tell these people this. People just need to learn manners and be more respectful to others instead of being so selfish. Cut the phone off during the movie or just stay home!!

You are exactly right!!! It is just rude to allow your phone to go off and answer it in a movie. Even if you get up and go outside to take the call you still disturb other people. If you are so paranoid that you "may" get an emergency call,,, then just stay home.

The one exception to that rule I can think of is a doctor or surgeon that often get emergency calls. They can easily set the thing to vibrate and take the call outside, however.

Recently I read a story where someone shushed a couple of young black men when they were talking on their cell phone and he is still in the hopsital and the men got away. So, there needs to be more than a small warning on the screen before the movie and it should not be up to patrons to have to police this. If you use your cell or talk continuously OUT, using big, tall, armed guys to remove you!

Too many idiots think they are sitting in their living room watching Netflix when they go to the movies.

I agree. The movie theater is an experience and some people do not get that. Some movies are better at theaters than they are on take home DVDs. Certain ones I have gone to, such as Avatar, was an awesome experience in the big theater in 3-D. It is just not the same as watching it at home. If I am at the movies I don't like being distracted by someone who cannot have the consideration to turn off their phone for such a short time. It is not that much to ask.
