Parents *should* be the primary educators of their children. If they are not what we have is probably a dysfunctional family... or, perhaps, just stupid parents.
The fundamental learnings of a human being occur when we are children and our attitudes are socialised by those of our parents. Children tend to have beliefs and attitudes that coincide with their parents. I think some parents forget this duty though and leave the official education bodies to do the job that is unconsciously theres. I hope that makes sense.
