I don't buy newspapers or magazines at all. Or, I very rarely do. And it was the same 5 years ago.

My buying of magazines and papers has declined. So I've bought fewer and fewer magazines and/or newspapers over the years.

Have increased: I buy more magazines or newspapers these days than I did about 5 years ago.

Have remained about the same over the years: These days, I buy roughly as many magazines or newspapers as I used to buy.

Scientific American and Discover, always. Various other science mags occasionally. The Occasional Mother Jones. Mostly I get online-newsletters, like three (women's health, pharmaceutical, and infectious disease) from News-Medical.Net, the SPLC, Media Matters, etc.

Or, if it is a major interest like infectious disease, I have shelves of books on the subject.
