Yeah, i've read the bible.

Usually not entire books, but I do read articles or try to understand the reasoning / main issues.

sure, why not? Otherwise you haven't learned anything, just confirmed your prejudices.

Amen! It's like what I posted under the question "Should parents be allowed to opt their kids out of learning evolution?" (or something like that). If you don't learn about any views that might conflict with your own, you won't know how to refute them.

True, and you might miss learning something that would change your mind. I used to be a conservative, pro-death penalty hawk. Then I started reading what the other side had to say. Now I'm so far left, the Democrats are right of center! (lol) Seems the leftists like information, not just rhetoric--and they actually care about others, not judge them.

If I didn't then my beliefs would be unsubstantiated.
